Life on board the ship, May 6

It's our third day at sea with one more to go before we reach Jordan. We didn't encounter any pirates as we passed Somalia on the entry to the Red Sea. Maybe it was too hot for them as it is 38 degrees with 100% humidity. Think sauna!!

We are keeping busy with shipboard activities;
games-
      see George on the lower deck winning 2  'big O points' for beating a crew member at ping pong.

puttung contests-
      2 'big O points' for Peggy

a bridge lesson, nightly entertainment and dancing.

We also do yoga and walk the track to keep our weight in check. It's a losing battle. The cruise saying is 'You come on as passengers and leave as cargo".

The food is really good so we end up having 3 or 4 courses with each meal in the dining room. We DON"T do dinner buffets!!!  There are 2 specialty restaurants - Polo (steaks etc) and Toscana (Italian), which we frequent. When we get tired of dressing for dinner each night Ivan (our butler) brings it to us.

Beef carpacio

That is one big lobster but George ate a 32 oz piece of roast beef a few weeks ago so he can handle this.

Just 2 more weeks of this food and we'll be back to blah!

Bon appetit, P&G
